Contributor guidelines

Why contribute your story?

The ACC Aspects blog is where members of The Alpine Club of Canada share stories of the myriad adventures, activities and people that make up our club. To be published on ACC Aspects is to join a long line of mountain storytellers and artists spanning Canada from sea to sea to sea. Our blog features current ACC events, true adventure stories from across the country and around the globe, safety tips, history, scientific and cultural issues pertaining to the mountain environment, as well as news from our local sections. We thank you for your interest in contributing to the ACC Aspects blog – our story could not be told without your help!

You’ve got a story to tell. Now what?

Please fill out the form on this page to submit your story for consideration. We accept full article submissions as well as pitches and ideas for stories. If your story is a great fit, our team will work with you to get your work publication-ready. If necessary, the editorial team will inform you of any major changes or revisions the article requires.

Submitting photos and illustrations

Photography has been, and still remains, an important way to help tell the stories of the ACC. Please let us know the availability of photographs or illustrations that can be submitted with the story right off the bat by uploading them with your story submission in the form on this page.

Terms of Publication

Please let us know if you have other plans for the same story. We will request a reprint note on any reprinted content indicating that the story first appeared on the ACC Aspects blog.
